Description

Beautiful Adam's Escape offers spectacular views of the ocean and Little Island fishing pier. Wonderfully decorated and sophisticated, this three-bedroom retreat boasts superb styling, amenities, and finishing touches. There’s plenty of space for family and friends to get together in spacious Adam's Escape. Some amenities include TVs and DVD players, assorted board games, free premium cable channels and complimentary WIFI access, and phone services.

The open floor kitchen has top-of-the-line stainless appliances, granite countertops, and plenty of pantry space. We even have a Keurig for a quick cup of coffee in the morning before setting out on the private oceanfront balcony to rest in our cozy patio seating. The living area has plenty of seating for everyone and a large screened TV so everyone can enjoy their favorite shows or step outside onto the oceanfront balcony and relax with a good book on the patio style seating or watch the dolphins and other sea life as they gracefully swim by. Enjoy the six-seat full-size patio dining set for a serene and beautiful meal.

Step into the main suite and enjoy a wonderful king-size bed, private bath, lots of closet space, and TV so you can catch up on your favorite late night shows, or step out onto your private balcony and enjoy an evening cocktail and listen to the waves crash against the sand.

Cook in your well-appointed kitchen or one of the many outdoor Viking grills located around the first-level pool deck. Lastly, don't forget all your favorite beach gear from home or use our complimentary beach supplies, such as beach chairs, cooler, and beach umbrella, all conveniently located in the ground-level garage storage closet right next to the easy beach access.

The use of condo amenities (with no additional resort fee) includes three swimming pools (open mid-May to mid-September), two libraries, and two fitness centers.

THINGS TO KNOW
  • The community pool is open annually from mid-May to mid-September for guest use. Pool dates are weather permitting and at the Condo Association's discretion.
  • The Sanctuary HOA schedules structural upkeep during the off-season, blocking off certain sides of the buildings, making it unsafe for our guests to be on the balcony. The balcony may not be available for guests from October to mid-May.
  • The hot tub is closed during the summer months and will also not be available in winter 2023 due to construction.
  • There is ongoing construction at the Sanctuary at both A & B Buildings through 2023.
  • This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC.

We had a great week at Adam's Escape. The property was clean and well maintained. The only complaint is that the bed in the master bedroom needs to be replaced. It is a worn out foam mattress that caused me a lot of lower back pain. Other than that, we have no complaints. We especially liked the proximity to the wildlife refuge which allowed for lots of room for running and biking. Being at the southern end of Sandbridge means that it takes a little while to get anywhere but that might be a bonus for some.

The unit was absolutely gorgeous! Lots of space, great amenities, and a breathtaking view. We even got a great look at a surf contest. Our only complaints were that the door lock can be very temperamental, on our first night family of the owner came in, expecting it to be vacant, and none of the staff were wearing masks. Despite these minor issues, we had a relaxing weekend in a gorgeous spot. Would highly recommend Adam's Escape to anyone that wants a nice weekend at the beach but doesn't need all the space of a house.

We stayed in this unit during COVID. The condo overlooks the ocean, which was key when the beach became a bit too crowded for our comfort. We could still enjoy the view and the sounds of the ocean! Upon entry, the unit did not appear to have been cleaned as thoroughly as I would have expected - coffee grounds still in the coffee pot, dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Clearly the cleaning company rushed. However, Sandbridge Realty took care of my concerns as soon as I brought them to their attention, and the remainder of our stay was comfortable and pleasant. This was our third time in Sandbridge and our second time staying at this resort. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quieter beach vacation with a great view and proximity to the beach.

We have stayed at the Sanctuary Resort three times now. This is the nicest unit we have stayed in. Everything was modern, high quality and well furnished. The unit was well located from elevator, parking and beach and pool access. The unit was very roomy, comfortable and laid out well. The low points were the resort staff and policies. The 'game room' is a joke and our arrival package did not include all the keys we needed. Our car was towed from the parking lot on the first day because we failed to put our parking pass back in window after going to grocery store. That cost $200 plus 2 1/2 hours out of our day to retrieve car. The saddest (and probably illegal) part was that we were not notified that it had been towed.
