You’ve worked hard, now it’s time for some fun at Sunset Sanctuary, where you'll be close enough to the ocean to hear the waves crashing on the shore.

A truly memorable family experience begins the moment you step through the door. Enjoy beautiful ocean and bay views (meaning sunrises and sunsets), tile throughout, a fully equipped kitchen, a well-appointed living area, and a private balcony off the primary suite. Other amenities include free WiFi, a computer screen and printer to make working from home a breeze, a 55-inch TV (with a full cable package, ESPN, a DVD player, and HDMI inputs), TVs in both bedrooms, a full-size washer/dryer, Keurig and drip coffee makers, an Instant Pot, an ice cream maker, a waffle maker, a Ninja blender, and a crab pot.

Convenient to the elevator and garage-level parking and just steps away from beach access, this condo is close to it all. You'll also have complimentary access to a garage-level storage unit filled with beach gear (a beach cart, an umbrella, chairs, and an assortment of toys).

The Sanctuary offers wonderful on-site amenities, including three outdoor pools (open mid-May to mid-September), Viking grills, and two fitness centers. Adjacent to the complex is the 400-foot fishing pier at Little Island Park, which also includes a children’s playground; tennis, pickleball, basketball, and volleyball courts; and enough public parking for the unexpected visitor. Just down the road, you can explore Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge, which offers beach access and hiking trails galore.

Please note that there is extensive construction occurring in buildings A & B including elevator and roof replacement, exterior painting, and breezeway remediation. During this time, you may hear loud construction noise during your stay. All installations and upgrades should be concluded by June. While Sanctuary’s pools and the fitness center are scheduled to be open from Memorial Day Weekend through October 2nd, the condo association has the right to close the pools at any time due to weather or repairs. The Sanctuary hot tubs should open in the fall.

This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC.

Please note: The Sanctuary Hot Tubs will not be opening in 2021.

Painting and breezeway remediation are scheduled to begin in late October 2021 and end in February 2022.

Our weeks stay was very nice. Clean condo and well equipped kitchen. Food at pool bar very good, I wish pools were open later at night. Trash rooms could have been picked up more often. Keeping garbage in garage was not the best idea. Garage always smelled poorly. Garbage needs picked up more often

Summer rentals can get roughed up by mid summer so our mouths dropped when opening the door to what appeared brand new. Fresh paint, quality furniture, spacious rooms, beachy decor, and 2 decks to see the ocean. The kitchen was fully stocked. Not that I want to cook all the meals, but when I am cooking it is nice to have everything I need. (You do need to bring food.) Be aware the complex can be tricky to get around and you need your keys for access through doors and on elevators. We had no worries about uninvited people in the buildings since you must use the key fob for entry. This is a perfect family vacation place. People are friendly and pools are perfect for all ages. Pool with bar and food made the days so relaxful.
