Memorial Day weekend was the unofficial start of summer in Sandbridge and that means plenty of events are coming up in the next few months. Coming up this week is one of the most popular events in Virginia Beach, the Patriotic Festival. It is no surprise that the Patriotic Festival is such a big draw since Virginia is home to numerous military bases.This event is held at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront and is a three day event filled with concerts, military expos, and displays. All branches of military: Army, Airforce, Navy, and National Guard will be participating. Exhibits/displays will include a navy dive tank, military vehicle display, and USO Show Troupe. This year will feature national recording artists Brett Eldredge, Brantley Gilbert, and Cole Swindell.

Also this weekend is Springfest. Springfest is an annual auto event held in at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on Sunday, June 3rd. The first Springfest was in 2010 and drew mostly locals. Today, the event draws 1000 custom cars from all over the East Coast and beyond.
