The Boardwalk Art Show is Virginia Beach's longest running annual event. The Boardwalk Art Show is produced by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA). The first show was in 1952 and has grown steadily over the decades. There are over 700 applications submitted from artists representing 12 different mediums. Only 275 of the 700 are chosen to take part in the show. The Boardwalk Art Show attracts 250,000 tourists and spans 15 blocks of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. In addition to many great pieces of art, there will also be food and live entertainment. The show starts on Thursday June 14th and runs through Sunday June 17.

The Flying Proms Symphony Airshow will take place on Saturday June 16th at the Military Aviation Museum in Pungo. The first part of the evening will feature the museum's collection of WWI and WWII aircraft including the Supermarine Spitfire and Messerschmitt Bf-109 with The Virginia Wind Symphony performing selections from popular aviation movies. After the airshow, the second half of the night will feature patriotic and pop music. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks display provided by Zambelli Fireworks.

Nitro Circus: The Next Level Tour is coming to the Virginia Beach Sportsplex on Saturday June 16. If you're an adrenaline junkie, you do not want to miss this event. The best of the best in FMX (freestyle motocross) will electrify the evening sky as they face off against the biggest ramps and attempt death-defying tricks.
